FREQUESTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Walid Chaya teaching actors at Studio for Performing Arts LA
  • Many actors choose to explore all three. Actors Super Scene Study offers ongoing weekly training with rotating curriculum, LA Acting Bootcamp provides intensive access to casting and industry professionals, and StudioReel allows you to film new, professional scenes for your acting reel. Each program supports a different stage of growth.

  • We don’t offer class auditing, as our programs are already offered at accessible, competitive rates. To make it easy to join, we offer payment plans and financial aid support upon request, so actors can enroll and begin training right away.

If you’d like to get to know Walid’s teaching style or our studio community, we also host free webinars (listed on our Online Programs page), as well as industry mixers and open houses announced via email and social media.
  • No specific level is required. Our LA programs welcome working professionals, emerging actors, and approved teens. Coaching and feedback are tailored individually, so experienced actors are challenged while newer performers build strong foundations. Teens should send us an email with a resume and request approval before registering.

  • Scene Study is ongoing weekly training focused on technique and growth. LA Acting Bootcamp is a two-day intensive with direct access to casting directors, agents, managers, and filmmakers.

  • Yes. Actors Super Scene Study features a new curriculum and scripts every season, with fresh lessons weekly. LA Acting Bootcamp rotates casting directors, agents, managers, and filmmakers—no two bootcamps are the same.

  • Training includes on-camera technique, scene study, script analysis, audition skills, and industry-relevant approaches rooted in Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Chekhov, Viewpoints, and other contemporary acting methods—adapted to each actor’s level and goals.

  • For most of our programs, scripts and scene material or resources to options are provided. For StudioReel, actors may choose from curated scenes or submit their own for approval.

  • Yes. Actors train and perform for casting directors and acting agents and managers through our LA programs. While representation is never guaranteed, hundreds of actors have received meetings and signed with agents or managers as a result of participating. These programs focus on strong training, professional readiness, and real industry visibility.
